Making a Murderer's Dean Strang & Jerry Buting: A Conversation on Justice will be at TPAC's James K. Polk Theater in Nashville on August 14, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 4, at 12:00 p.m. at TPAC.org, by phone at 615-782-4040, and in person at the TPAC Box Office, 505 Deaderick Street, in downtown Nashville.
Strang and Buting’s multi-city speaking tour, which starts April 16 in Boston, MA, and hits cities across North America through August, involves the two attorneys in conversation about the Steven Avery case and its broader implications, as well as a discussion on the larger topic of the American criminal justice system. Each night also will feature a Q&A portion and the opportunity for the audience to address questions directly to the attorneys.
With their lecture tour, Strang and Buting explore and discuss pressing questions about the fairness and effectiveness of the criminal justice system and concerns highlighted by true crime narratives from Making A Murderer, Serial, and The Jinx to the murder trial of O.J. Simpson. Reviewing these situations, the legal duo will highlight what they perceive as imperfections in the judicial system and suggest potential improvements.
